Artist Statement
I create paintings inspired by the patinas of metals; the tones and colors of rotting wood; the surfaces of eroded stones.
I develop resonant surfaces, both visual and tactile. The canvases are transformed into planes of oxidizing metals, or weathered slabs of stone.
My paintings are a delicate balance of material and process. My work has a decayed beauty with each painting being unique and different from the next.
I continue to restlessly explore.
